monday 1st october 2007 we're all very excited to say that last wednesday evening we signed to too pure. we're going to begin recording for our first album soon and are too excited to explain!
monday 17th september 2007 its been a busy week! but definitely a fun one. thursday's Too Pure Singles Club launch in london was one of the most fun gigs in a while... the sound was clear on stage, we played a noisey new song and it felt like the people there wanted to listen! Vera November's set was really great and i recommend you have a listen!
After two hours sleep, we set off across the country to play at the end of the road festival in devon. Also playing on the friday were Yo La Tengo and Scout Niblett, two bands who we all like a huge amount yet none of us had seen live... both were really fantastic. We stayed for the rest of the weekend, saturday was a little dissapointing to me, i enjoyed the bees, was left a little bored by the super furry animals, the concretes were not what i remember, think the loss of there original singer might have had a really bad effect and i enjoyed my sad captains who i'd known about for a while but had yet to see. Sunday was better, jeffrey lewis sounded good, although i had a someone pass out and fall right on to me half way through his set, i didn't like that much. Jonny flynn sounded good too, and howe gelb started sketchy and ended brilliantly! two weekends in a row of camping is just about enough for me for sometime i think, i definitely prefer a matress for a bed. or maybe just being inside whilst asleep!
i hope you've been enjoying our single if you've picked up a copy, we still have some here with us if you haven't got one yet, all the ordering things are below or just
>> HERE <<
We've been booked for some shows supporting scout niblett in november.. we're getting to go back to bristol again, this time we will make sure we get to last showing at the planetarium on time and back to oxford, this time playing somewhere othere than the port mahon. very excited about both! her new album is out soon and its fantastic, as to be expected! here are some pictures i took (expect for the ones we're playing in!) from our travels..
